Refund policy
Return & Refund Policy
At Tee Time, we want customers to know exactly what they are purchasing. We specialise in pre-owned and recovered lake golf balls, so please read the relevant product description and grading information carefully before placing your order.
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
Lake Ball Condition & Grading
Unless a product is specifically advertised as new, golf balls sold by Tee Time are pre-owned, recovered lake golf balls.
The grade and expected condition of the golf balls are stated on the relevant product page before purchase.
Depending on the grade purchased, golf balls may show signs of previous play, including:
- Marks and scuffs
- Surface wear
- Staining or discolouration
- Pen or player markings
- Faded logos or print
- Minor cosmetic imperfections
These characteristics are normal for recovered golf balls. Where the condition of the balls is consistent with the grade and description purchased, these cosmetic characteristics are not, by themselves, considered faults.
Product photographs may be representative. Unless specifically stated otherwise, the exact balls received may vary in ball number, markings, orientation, cosmetic appearance and other minor characteristics.
Change-of-Mind Returns
For eligible online purchases, you normally have the right to tell us that you wish to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it.
After notifying us of your cancellation, you must return the goods within 14 days.
To begin a return, email:
Please include your order number/order reference and the reason for your return.
Change-of-Mind Return Postage
If you have changed your mind, ordered the wrong product, no longer want your order, or otherwise wish to return an eligible order where there is no fault with the goods:
You are responsible for arranging and paying the full cost of return postage.
Tee Time does not provide or reimburse return postage for change-of-mind returns.
We strongly recommend using a tracked and appropriately insured delivery service and retaining your receipt and proof of postage until your refund has been completed.
Responsibility for Change-of-Mind Returns
Where you arrange the return delivery, you are responsible for the goods while they are being returned to Tee Time.
The returned goods must be sent to the return address provided by us and should be securely packaged.
If the return parcel is lost or is not delivered to us by the shipping provider selected by you, you should contact that shipping provider to investigate the missing parcel and, where applicable, make a compensation claim.
If tracking states that the parcel has been delivered to Tee Time but we cannot locate it, please contact us with the tracking number and proof of postage so that we can investigate.
Order Reference Required
Your order number/order reference should be included inside your return parcel so we can correctly identify your order.
Returns received without sufficient identifying information may be delayed while we attempt to identify the sender and corresponding order.
Omitting an order reference will not intentionally be used to deny an otherwise valid statutory return where we can reasonably identify the order.
Condition of Returned Goods
Returned goods will be inspected before a refund is processed.
For a change-of-mind return, customers may inspect the golf balls as they reasonably would before deciding whether to keep them. Golf balls should not be played with or used on a golf course if you intend to return them.
Where permitted by law, we may make an appropriate deduction from a refund if the value of the goods has been reduced because they have been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and condition.
Return Verification & Fraud Prevention
All returns may be checked against the original order before a refund is issued.
The quantity, product type, grade and other relevant characteristics of returned goods may be checked as part of our returns process.
A return must contain the goods that were originally supplied as part of the relevant order.
Sending different golf balls, substituted products, an incorrect quantity, an empty parcel or other goods that were not supplied as part of the relevant order does not constitute a valid return of the original goods.
Where there is a discrepancy between an order and the goods returned, we may contact the customer and request further information or evidence before determining the appropriate refund.
We may retain appropriate records relating to the dispatch and return of orders for fraud prevention and dispute resolution purposes.
Where we reasonably suspect fraudulent activity, we may preserve relevant evidence and provide it to payment providers, delivery companies or appropriate authorities where necessary and lawful.
Nothing in this section is intended to restrict legitimate consumer rights.
Faulty, Incorrect or Not-as-Described Goods
Change-of-mind return postage rules do not affect your statutory rights where goods are faulty, incorrect or materially not as described.
If you believe there is a genuine problem with your order, please email:
Please provide your order number, a description of the issue and, where appropriate, photographs showing the problem.
Please contact us before arranging the return so we can provide appropriate instructions.
Where Tee Time is legally responsible for the return, we will provide an appropriate return method or cover reasonable return costs as required by applicable consumer law.
Grade & Cosmetic Condition Claims
Our lake golf balls are sold according to the condition described on the relevant product page.
Cosmetic characteristics that were clearly disclosed as part of the grade—including appropriate marks, staining, discolouration, fading, pen markings, scuffs or signs of previous play—do not by themselves mean that the goods are faulty or not as described.
A change of mind based solely on cosmetic characteristics that are consistent with the grade and condition clearly described before purchase will normally be treated as a change-of-mind return, meaning the customer is responsible for the return postage.
This does not affect your rights where the goods genuinely do not correspond with their description or otherwise fail to meet requirements under applicable consumer law.
Refunds
Once your return has been received, it will be inspected and matched to your order.
Where a refund is due, it will be issued to the original payment method.
Where you exercise a statutory right to cancel your entire eligible order, we will refund the standard outbound delivery charge where required by law. If you selected a more expensive delivery option than our standard delivery service, we are not required to refund the additional delivery cost beyond the standard delivery amount.
Bank and payment-provider processing times may mean that the funds take additional time to appear after we have issued the refund.
Cancelling Before Dispatch
If you want to cancel an order that has not yet been dispatched, contact us as quickly as possible at:
If we are able to stop the order before dispatch, we will process the cancellation.
